This online skill set touches on how sociological theory and contemporary community development approaches can be harnessed to build community capacity for strong social outcomes. Strongly influenced by current industry practice, this skill set encourages participants to reflect on own practice and invites them to stretch their capabilities through the introduction of best practice approaches from around the world.

This online course has been developed by those in industry, for industry. The course structure and content has been designed to suit those working full-time or part-time in a community development role or in a role that collaborates with community on social change projects.

Participants may work across a range of social, environmental, health, recreation, arts and culture sectors; within or for government, not-for-profit or private organisations.

Successfully completing this skill set gives you the opportunity to further your studies by enrolling in the Certificate IV in Community Development or the Diploma of Community Development, you can discuss this with your lecturers.

This online course has been developed by those in industry, for industry. The course structure and content has been designed to suit those working full-time or part-time in a community engagement role or in a role that seeks community involvement in decisions regarding projects/programs/initiatives. 

Participants may work across a range of social, environmental, health, recreation, arts and culture sectors; within or for government, not-for-profit or private organisations. 

Successfully completing this skill set gives you the opportunity to further your studies by enrolling in the Certificate IV in Community Development or the Diploma of Community Development, you can discuss this with your lecturers.

In this short course you will learn about SEO and how to maximise it for your business. You will cover:

• Outlining best practices for social media posts, including image and copywriting techniques
• Using key social media platforms and technologies to create digital content
• Understanding of key on-page SEO techniques, including the use of Keyword Planner and blogging software
• Outline uses for Facebook advertising platform for targeting and budgeting
• Steps to create digital assets using Canva

If you are an Enrolled Nurse who is currently working in a health care environment, you can gain the skills required to administer medicines and intravenous therapy by completing the nationally accredited unit, HLTENN040 Administer and monitor medicines and intravenous therapy.

You will cover all aspects of medication administration including a variety of methods; oral, otic, ocular, topical, rectal, vaginal, enteral, subcutaneous (subcut), intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) injection and infusion via a PIVC and blood and blood products, amongst others.

The skill set consists of four x mandatory on campus workshops, online theory delivered in conjunction with your workplace experience and study in your own time.

Any registered enrolled nurse who is currently practising may enrol in this skill set - there are no prerequisites. You will be taught by skilled lectures who are available to support you through your online learning.
