This Barbering Skill Set is designed for people with SHB30416 Certificate III Hairdressing (or the equivalent, including overseas hairdressing qualifications) who wish to enhance their expertise in specialist barbering aspects.
The skills and knowledge covered are not typically offered in the SHB30416 Cert III Hairdressing program.
If you already hold SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing or if you hold an older qualification and you are looking for a refresher to help you to return to industry, this skill set covers all the specialist techniques needed to be able to work in unisex or men's grooming salons.
You'll learn about the latest techniques and trends and be up to date with industry policies and guidelines.
You'll learn about:
- safety and hygiene practices
- industry policies and guidelines
- product knowledge
- sustainability practices
- scalp diseases
You'll also gain specialist skills and techniques such as shaving and grooming and including design, maintenance and treatment of beards and moustaches
