Community development skill sets requirements
To enrol in one of our Community Development Skill Sets you must be working in community development in some sort of capacity. 
In the past 2 years, have you taken a lead role* in developing, implementing, and evaluating a community development project?

* This is a requirement for enrolling you in the course. We ask this question to ensure that you will be able to meet the requirements of one of the Skill Set’s assessment tasks. This assessment task will ask you to describe the project process you undertook and submit workplace documents that show your lead role in the project, such as reports, plans, budgets, emails, meeting minutes and other project documents.

** The community development projects can be any type (or scale) but must involve you:

  • Planning, delivering and evaluating two community projects to address community needs and priorities
  • Working with others to plan and document the community projects
In the past 2 years, have you taken a lead role* in developing, implementing, and evaluating a community engagement project?

* This is a requirement for enrolling you in the course. We ask this question to ensure that you will be able to meet the requirements of one of the Skill Set’s assessment tasks. This assessment task will ask you to describe the project process you undertook and submit workplace documents that show your lead role in the project, such as reports, plans, budgets, emails, meeting minutes and other project documents.

** The engagement project can be any type (or scale) of community engagement project, but must involve you:

  • Designing an engagement plan with community members and with management within your organisation.
  • Providing information to community members and stakeholders about a project/program/topic/initiative.
  • Seeking information/feedback from community members and stakeholders regarding that same project/program/topic/initiative.
  • Facilitating group discussions between community members and stakeholders focused on the same project/program/topic/initiative; and
  • Seeking feedback from community members and stakeholders relating to the evaluation of the workplace engagement project and compiling an evaluation report.

** This project can be any type (or scale) of socially focused project, but must involve you facilitating the active involvement of community members (i.e. individuals or volunteers) and other stakeholders (e.g. Councillors, Board Members and others working in a professional capacity).

To enrol in one of our Enrolled Nursing Skill Sets you must be a registered Enrolled Nurse who is currently practicing. To meet eligibility requirements please answer the questions below and submit required documents.

As you are not practicing as an Enrolled Nurse you are not eligible to apply to study this Skill Set. Please visit our Nursing Courses  for more information on the entry requirements for these Skill Sets. You can also speak to the Jobs and Skill Centre for more advice and information on courses and training opportunities that are best suited for your study and career goals.
