Learn to use Python for creating programs and automating processes
This course is for anyone who is newly unemployed or looking at exploring a career in cyber security; or IT employees in the networking field who want to upskill or start their journey in cyber security scripting language.
You'll gain skills in using a scripting language to construct software solutions and learn simple programming techniques used in cyber security.
If you would like to continue the Cyber Security pathway, successful completion of this skill set awards you with two units, which can be credited toward the Certificate IV in Cyber Security.
- Writing scripts and automating processes for software applications
- An understanding of programming principles using a widely recognised langauge used primarily in CyberSecurity field
This course will be FREE from 1 January 2023. The course fees are 100 per cent subsidised by the WA State Government.

This self-paced, online skill set runs for 20 weeks and is is structured such that it can be completed purely online.
The next intake will commence Semester 2 2023, Monday 24 July.
If you need assistance, a lecturer will be available on campus to provide support 3 hours per week, currently timetabled from 6 - 9pm on Monday nights. This on campus assistance is optional.
