Enrolled Nursing

A nursing qualification from North Metropolitan TAFE will see you work as an enrolled nurse in a range of health care settings including hospitals, health clinics, community organisations or residential care. It is a diverse, challenging and rewarding career, as nurses make a real difference to the comfort and care of patients every day.

By working in our simulated hospital wards and outreach clinic, you will gain knowledge and skills that will enable you to assess and provide nursing care to clients, including how to observe and measure vital signs, and assist patients with everyday activities. You will develop essential effective communication skills and learn to work with and care for people from different backgrounds.

Places in Nursing courses are in high demand. If you do not gain a place in the course of your choice, we offer alternative pathways to help you. We also offer options for other careers in the Health industry, including a wide range of opportunities to work in Western Australia’s mental health system, view potential careers on the WA Government's Mental Health Commission website
