Pathways to nursing

Our nursing courses are popular and there are often more applicants than places. If you do not gain a place in your preferred course or you think you may not meet the literacy and numeracy requirements, we can offer you pathways that may help you to achieve your goal to study nursing.
Or you could choose an alternative course in the health industry to help you on your way to helping others.

Working out your pathway

If you apply for HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing you will be required to sit the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) Literacy & Numeracy assessment and achieve an Exit level 3, (working at level 4),  and meet the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia's English language standards in order to be considered.

If you do not get offered a place or do not meet the entrance requirements specified by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) you may consider pathway options.

Please see the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia website for further detail.
