Congratulations to two of our Photography graduates who have been selected for the Clyde & Co Art Project.

The project is an initiative lead by Clyde & Co, a leading global law firm operating from over 50 offices across six continents, where they display art in their offices to help inspire conversations about mental health and to support students as they transition from art school to professional artist.

Graduates Sarah Matheson and Hamish Jennings will have their photography works displayed in Clyde & Co’s Perth office, with members of the public able to bid on their work.

Sarah said to have her artwork, which focuses on dogs, selected was a great surprise.

“The series of mine selected, Hounded, is hanging in Clyde and Co’s reception and I hope will bring smiles to the faces of their visitors," she said

“I’m a big fan of bring your dog to work day, and having these friendly faces there is as close as some of us can get.”

Hamish said it meant a lot knowing that his work was able to catch the eye of someone who wanted to put it up in their offices for a year.

“The work I have displayed is my final project from my Advanced Diploma which was part of the end of year exhibition. It is a collection of photos themed yellow which is extremely important to me as my girlfriend inspired the photographs, due to her favourite colour being yellow.”

Sarah said she chose to get into photography because of her love of storytelling.

“I originally picked up a camera because I needed content for a blog I was running and haven’t put it down since,” she said.

“In the information age visual literacy is more important now than ever, and great imagery plays a critical part in modern communication.

“The best part of studying photography at North Metro TAFE is the high level of engagement with industry professionals, and the passion and commitment of the TAFE lecturers and support staff.”
