You'll gain the skills needed to respond to the demand for diverse and bespoke textile applications in the local fashion industry and community of makers.
Machine knitting is a skill that is widely used in the international fashion industry. In this course, you'll be introduced to the functionality and features of knitting machines, learning how to set them up, and how to cast on and off. By the time you finish, you'll have completed a range of knitted samples using techniques such as Fairisle, tuck and slip stitch, lace holes, ladders, colour changing and fringing.
This course is open to current Fashion and Textile Design students, fashion school graduates, textile designers and local community members.
