What our students have to say

I did the North Metropolitan TAFE photography course to put a current qualification to my career. It provided me with more than just a qualification; gaining skills and confidence in areas outside my niche.

NMTAFE provided access to all sorts of equipment and opportunities to use and explore it in real life situations. Running a photographic business in today's saturated environment requires more than just taking nice pictures, and NMTAFE was a safe place to prepare a successful business.

Now I primarily shoot with local government and my local community where my qualifications are checked. Work is never boring, and every week I’m given new challenges. I might be photographing anything from councillors meeting the community, front line happenings, sports and events, architecture, landscapes, farms, businesses and weddings.

Rebecca DeVries | Fine Art Photography

Studying at North Metropolitan TAFE gave me with a solid foundation in photography while providing invaluable access to the industry.

If you want to become a professional photographer there is no better place to start your journey.
