Graphic design is about using visual communication to convey a message to specific audience.

Whether you are planning a career in graphic design, want to upskill or take a refresher or just to dabble for your own interest, we have packaged four graphic design units to give you the tools to get started.

You might want to become a graphic designer but don't know what the requirements are, or you may be employed in a department or a small business and want to demonstrate some creative flair to promote the products and skills you deliver or you might be a solo trader keen to promote yourself and your services.

We are offering a series of four skill sets to boost your creative skills.

This skill set covers the requirements for accredited unit CUAGRD311 Prepare files for print and successful completion will give you a unit towards CUA40720 AC92 Certificate IV in Design (Graphic Design).
You'll gain the skills needed to create a page layout for magazines, books and photos.
Classes will focus on key industry software, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. You'll develop your own Zine on a topic of your choice and a small marketing item for the Zine. In this process you will learn how to use typography and grids to effectively communicate ideas and content using images and text for the printed page. You'll also be shown basic image editing techniques to use in printed material.
