This course will give you the knowledge and skills to support hairdressers in a salon.
A valuable part of our course is ongoing practical demonstration of your skills, so you will be need to bring live models to class as required.
When you complete the Certificate II In Hairdressing you'll have skills to impress potential employers as a salon assistant, on your way to becoming a hairdresser.
- Shampooing, colouring and braiding hair

This qualification is intended to prepare individuals for further training.
2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday)
On your first day, you should bring your NMTAFE confirmation of enrolment receipt, your student ID, stationery (a pen and notepad and equipment from your orientation booklet lists).
Uniforms and workwear requirements
Students are required to wear all black clothing (an order form will be sent prior to orientation) with rubber-soled fully enclosed shoes. Please note, display of bare midriff is not permitted.
Students will need to purchase a tool kit (an order form will be given prior to orientation).
