A robotic project driven learning program!

You'll gain foundation skills required by industries involved with automation and robotics. The units will be taught in a very hands-on approach through two projects involving simple robots.
You'll also learn the basics of electronics, programming, 3D printing and will be introduced to engineering drawing. Students will also gain skills in using basic hand tools.

You'll be equipped to take on entry level work in the fields of

Half-price

This qualification is directly aligned with priority industry areas where jobs are today, and into the future. As part of the state government Lower fees, local skills program, through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the tuition fees (plus resource fee) capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession.

On campus

This course will be delivered over two days per week, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8:30am - 4:00pm.

At-home study

As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately two - four hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research.

You will need to have the basic technical requirements for at-home study. If you don’t have access to a computer and WiFi at home, we recommend using our library computers during library hours

Study outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research will be required to successfully complete your course.

Bring your own device (BYOD) is encouraged but not essential.

As a student you will also have additional costs associated with your study, for example text books and stationery, printing and other materials required for your assignments.

Other costs for consideration:

  • Personal Protective Equipment - steel capped boots, clear safety glasses, long sleeved cotton shirt, long pants and ear protection
  • Non-programmable CASIO scientific calculator (with instruction booklet). This must have Engineering Symbol Function on the calculator, ie Engineering Notation Calculator.
