Student Concession and School Age Cap

Concession eligible courses

Please only complete this form if you are entitled to a concession. 

Students are entitled to a concession if they hold a valid concession card AND are enrolled in a Certificate level course, OR are enrolled in one of the Diploma/Advanced Diploma level courses that are part of the Lower fees, local skills program (see Half price course list).

Concession does not apply to foundation skills courses, commercial fee-paying students or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Concession details
Concession cards must be valid, and must have a start date on or before commencement of the course. If your concession start date does not meet this criteria, you will not be eligible for concession fees as per the VET Fees and Charges Policy. Secondary school aged student's must complete the School Aged Declaration part of this form.

School aged declaration - to be completed by parent/guardian
  • the above student is a school aged person and their date of birth is on or after 1 July 2006
  • will not be attending secondary school this semester and/or for the duration of their TAFE course.
  • I understand that if at any time they enrol concurrently at a secondary school and TAFE they will not be eligible for the Secondary School Aged Cap/Concession, nor will they be eligible to access free tuition for the Free in '23 courses, and will instead be charged at the commercial rate for TAFE fees ($13.50 per nominal hour).
