Congratulations to our WorldSkills WA team members!

Twenty-five students/graduates from NMTAFE received their team jackets at Parliament House last week alongside Education and Training Minister, Sue Ellery, and NMTAFE Managing Director, Michelle Hoad.

Team WA consists of 85 members from WA TAFEs as well as 23 Year 12 students who will compete at the 2021 WorldSkills Australia National Championships to be held from 26-28 August at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The competition gives regional winners from across the nation an opportunity to put their talent to the test against competitors from across Australia.

More than 500 competitors will showcase and benchmark their skills on a national stage as they compete for gold and a chance to represent Australia at the International Competition in Shanghai 2022.

The competition’s format has been adapted due to COVID restrictions with competitors from inter-state now able to participate from their home state.
