Business Ready Skill Set

Share this course on your social media page

Almost every business has an office — and there's no shortage of job opportunities here

From administration work through to customer service, using business technology, dealing with accounts and finances through to digital marketing — you just need to be skills ready.

The Business Ready Skill Set will give you basic skills and knowledge required to deliver aspects of customer service including how to create a relationship with customers, identify their needs, deliver services or products and process customer feedback. You'll also learn how to use business technology and produce business documents, follow work health and safety (WHS) and emergency procedures and instructions, and use computer software and organise electronic information and data.

Online

Some of our Online courses can be done completely online. However, some of the courses require a practical component or assessment that can't be done online, and some may be a mix of online and on campus learning. We’ll let you know what's required for your course. For all the details and a full list of Online courses, check out the Online study and application(opens in a new tab)  page.

Skill-sets

This job ready skill set is part of the Skills Ready program. All job ready skill sets are available for everyone to study, some are free for everyone, some are free for eligible people (including displaced workers, concession students and youth up to 25 years not at school).

More skill sets can be found on our Skill sets and short courses page, and for other qualifications be sure to check the Courses page, to see everything we have to offer.

Please note this skill set is designed for students wanting to enter into a business role or further studies in a business or a related field. If you have previously studied a Business qualification (Certificate II or higher) you might find you have already gained these skills.

Online delivery is self-paced with compulsory weekly sessions run with Blackboard Collaborate on Tuesdays.
