The perfect qualification to get you started in the Dental Technology profession
As a Dental Technician, you will be responsible for preparing work for dental surgeries and producing dental appliances such as bridges and splints.
Our dental technology qualification provides you with skills that are relevant to current industry trends and practices.
This qualification is an apprenticeship so you will need be employed as an apprentice in a Dental Laboratory; please see the Apprenticeships section for more information.
During the course you will have the opportunity to meet other apprentices when attending our newly fitted out facilities at our Leederville campus for some theory sessions.
By the end of the course you'll be able to:
- Produce specialised dental appliances including orthodontic, crowns, bridges and splints
- Conduct infection control
- Implement Workplace Health and Safety
- Engage in dental laboratory administration
- Fabricate dental models and trays and make mouthguards
