It is possible to enrol in the Proportional Integral Derivative Skill Set concurrently. NMTAFE will help you manage the order of completion of subjects within the Term so that you can achieve the pre-requisite units before commencing the PID program. 
NOTE if you select the PID Skill Set above and meet entrance requirements you will be enrolled in the Certificate IV in Electrical - Instrumentation and the PID Skill Set during the same enrolment period.
To enrol in Certificate IV in Electrical - Instrumentation you will need to upload:
  • UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, or equivalent; OR a current electrical trade licence; AND 
  • Your resume

To enrol in Course in Migrant Plumbing you will need to provide evidence that you hold a current Restricted Plumbing Tradespersons Permit, issued by DMIRS (Plumbing License Board WA). Please upload a copy of your permit below.

The Certificate IV in Engineering (Fluid Power) is a post trade qualification. You must have a current Certificate III, trade papers, qualifications, or equivalent to study. Please upload one or more of the following:

  • academic record if you are third or fourth year apprentice;
  • a current qualification;
  • trade papers;
  • resume.

Depending on your Certificate III qualification or if you have been working in a trade for more than five years but do not have a Certificate III trade qualification you could be required to complete Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or a Credit Transfer process (costs apply).
