Explore the skills you need to meet the financial requirements of running your own business. 

These two hour online (via the Teams platform) workshops are designed for those with a trade background in the construction industry.
The workshops are scheduled from 4 - 6pm and will provide the  basics in areas like business set-up, registering for GST, accounting and tax, bookkeeping, marketing, navigating contracts and using relevant technology.  You can do all three or just focus on the one you need most support with.

Workshop 3 will provide you with an overview of the finance and bookkeeping aspects of running your own business.

Gain an introduction to essential computer skills, looking at the software basics like Excel and Word that you will need to keep things running smoothly.
You'll also explore different accounting and bookkeeping software packages like Xero and MYOB to help you with your invoicing and record keeping and meet your tax and superannuation obligations.
