Use your creativity to turn scrap metal into works of art

Enrol in North Metropolitan TAFE's metal sculpture welding course and you'll learn how to work with metal in new and different ways. You'll get the skills you need to transform pieces of scrap metal into garden features, abstract pieces and sculptures.

You will receive instruction in the safe use of tools and basic welding/metal forming techniques.

Dress requirements

You will be required to wear personal protective clothing/equipment at all times which includes steel capped safety boots, clear safety glasses, long drill cotton pants and cotton drill long sleeve shirt. You will also be required to supply your own long welding gloves, CLEAR face shield (for grinding) and welding helmet (can be Dual Shield).
