North Metropolitan TAFE's popular art classes for children are held at our art building at 12 Aberdeen St in Perth.

This six week course run on Saturdays is specially designed for children between the ages of 7 and 10 years who want to extend their skills in art through a range of traditional and experimental approaches.  The classes are taught by qualified and experienced art lecturers and the class size is limited to 12 to maximise the tuition.

How to apply

Entrance Requirements

To gain entrance to this course you will need to have either completed CUA51115 Diploma of Visual Arts OR provide a portfolio showing you have the conceptual, technical and organisational skills to create and present work in your chosen creative form. Your portfolio may show these skills have been acquired through formal study or through experience in a creative field. You will also need to have completed the following pre-requisite unit CUAPPR505 Establish and maintain safe creative practice. Please contact us to discuss with the Head of Program for Visual Art.

Visual artists work within and across many mediums, and their practice may incorporate ceramics, digital art, drawing and illustration, jewellery making, painting, photomedia, printmaking, public art, sculpture, textiles or wood design.
