Entrance Requirements

To be able to make the most of the techniques and skills covered in the Ceramics Extension Skill Set you will need to provide evidence of one of the following criteria:

  • Successful completion of Certificate IV in Visual Arts unit - CUACER401 - Experiment with techniques to produce ceramics 
  • Participation in North Metropolitan TAFE's leisure Ceramics courses for 1 year continuously or attendance at lifestyle courses at an art centre for at least 3 years
  • Employment as an Art Teacher at a school/art centre with at least 2 years of ceramics teaching experience
  • A Bachelor or Associate Degree in Fine Art with demonstrated ceramics practice for at least 3 years
  • Demonstrated experience in producing high level ceramics art pieces through your own practice
