This course is for people who want to know what BIM is all about and learn about the required preparations for its introduction to a design office. Through this 3 day course you will gain an understanding of the requirements associated with implementing building information modeling (BIM) in an architectural, engineering, construction, or drafting office as well as the tools, processes and capabilities of a BIM office.

We are the only training provider in WA offering this concise, contemporary BIM course.

Prerequisite: It is advisable to have used a 3D program, but not essential.

Course Outline

  • understanding the BIM philosophy, the tools and processes available
  • understanding BIM implementation within an architectural, engineering, construction, and drafting office environment
  • understanding the importance of embedding building design data to produce an effective model
  • understanding the tools required for implementing BIM
  • understanding the continuous training implications related to a BIM implementation
