Modern Greek

Learning Greek can help you understand your own language better; with over 25% of English vocabulary being of Greek origin. Many Greek words are borrowed into other languages particularly in the fields of Mathematics, Astronomy, Philosophy etc. Greek and Latin word elements are the foundation of scientific and technical vocabularies.

As a foundation language of western culture, Greek has influenced every language in the Romance family to some extent. With its rich history, this language has a huge legacy for modern civilization to keep and enrich. It is also very useful when visiting those beautiful Greek islands!

The Modern Greek course is designed to give adult learners with little or no previous knowledge of Greek a base level understanding of Conversational Greek.
