Art Class For Young Adults With A Disability

Yes
State ID: V1371

For young adults with a disability who love to create art, experiment & use visual communication

North Metropolitan TAFE is piloting a special art class for ages 14 to 20 years aimed at providing skills development in visual art for people living with a disability. The art classes are taught by a qualified and experienced art lecturer who will also take the participants on visits to our gallery when there is an appropriate exhibition. We aim to develop skills in drawing, sketching and painting interspersed with a range of activities including ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, textiles and assemblage. TAFE is disability accessible and carers may attend classes.

Please note we do not provide personal care. Support workers are available to assist with learning and development.

The purpose built art studios are centrally located and serviced by Blue CAT bus stop 8, plus within easy walking distance from the Perth train station.
Contact North Metropolitan TAFE's Gallery Central for more information, phone 94271318 or email gallery@nmtafe.wa.edu.au .
