Semester 1, 2021 - FAQs

Here you'll find answers to many commonly asked questions.

For RPL, you will need to complete the Self-Assessment Checklist to provide proof of your experience in your chosen industry.

An assessor will then review this information and contact you to discuss your suitability for RPL.  

Please note This is not required if you are already an NMTAFE student and have completed similar units in a previous course.  In these cases, you should send your academic transcripts to for assessment.

On campus (full-time)

  1. Select your course and apply (TAFE Admissions  is now closed for Semester 1)
  2. Receive an offer letter 
  3. Accept your offer online 
  4. Receive an Enrolment Estimate (please check your spam/junk folder for emails received from If you should have received an Enrolment Estimate and can’t find it, please contact us and we will resend it to you). 
  5. Pay your fees (in full via bank transfer or in instalments – see fee question below) 
  6. Receive Confirmation of Enrolment with instructions on how to access your Office 365 account to view your timetable and Orientation details.


On campus (part-time)

Some courses are designed specifically for students wanting to study part-time.  


Online applications are open for many study areas.

Skill sets

Our skill sets are a type of short course that provides certification for specific workplace skills.

Please fill in the Skill set application to choose a skill set and apply to study.

If you have applied for a course over the past week, it is probably still being processed.

Please be patient, you will be contacted about the outcome. You can check your application status at TAFE Admissions or email for more information.

You can now pay your fees in full via direct deposit to the bank account below.  Use your Student ID (found on the top of your enrolment estimate) AND your surname as a reference:
