Disability Services

Studying a qualification in this area will put you on the path to a satisfying, diverse and meaningful career, as you work with individuals to help them achieve their personal goals and maintain wellbeing. With changes to the way that people with disability receive funding and growth in the number of people living with disability, this area has more job opportunities than ever before.

Our courses will help you develop the skills to work with families, manage staff, coordinate services and deliver support to individuals with more complex needs in a wide range of community services agencies.

What others have to say

At Home Care is proud to partner with North Metropolitan TAFE to provide practical learning opportunities for Certificate III Individual Support (Disability) students.

These practical placements give students the opportunity to transition seamlessly from the theory component at TAFE to a genuine career in care.

As a specialised disability care provider for adults and children with complex care needs, students often comment on how much they enjoy being challenged and putting their skills into practice with the guidance of our team and experienced mentors.

Through their placements, we see students from North Metropolitan TAFE are trained to a high standard and we often offer employment to students who complete their placement with At Home Care.

The practical workplace learning also means our current team can continue to work and earn whilst completing a formal qualification.
