10 May 2022

Two of our students will be heading to Shanghai later this year to compete for Australia at the 2022 Worldskills International competition.

Congratulations to our graduates Charles Farrar (jewellery) and Annabel Haizer (graphic design) who are now training as part of the Skillsroos for the international competition in October this year.

Charles won the gold medal at the National Worldskills competition last year while Annabel has been recently added to the team after winning silver.

Our lecturer Brendan Hibbert will also be the expert coach in the graphic design area.

WorldSkills Shanghai 2022(opens in a new tab) , the 46th competition, will take place from 12-17 October.

Every two years WorldSkills organises the WorldSkills Competition with over 80 member countries.

The competition aims to increase skills awareness among young people, develop international skills standards, share research results, exchange best practices, and promote the value of skills for economic growth and personal success.
