Creative abilities on display at Yagan Square

Our students and recent graduates were offered an exciting opportunity to display their work at Bunuru Welcome, a three-day community festival at the city’s newest public space, Yagan Square.

  • Advanced Diploma of Screen & Media (Broadcast Television) students broadcasted live music and dance performances onto the digital tower at the Bunuru Welcome event.
  • Graduates of the Advanced Diploma of Photography also displayed their images on the digital tower. Their photographs will continue to be shown at Yagan Square throughout 2018, as part of a curated installation.

“The Yagan Square broadcast coverage went very well. Our students worked very hard to cover the event,” said North Metropolitan TAFE Lecturer Peter Wharram.Yagan Sq 3.jpg

The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) and Screenwest planned the event for many months, collaborating with North Metropolitan TAFE as well as other local content providers.

“We are so pleased to be able to facilitate this amazing opportunity for students to showcase their work on the digital tower for a large audience to see,” said Screenwest Content Programmer/Producer Alana Swift. Yagan Sq 2.jpg
