Variable Speed Drives for Electricians Short Course

State ID: SC-MIU-V1404

North Metropolitan TAFE is delivering a short course to familiarise you with the capabilities of variable speed drives (VSDs).  These are essential to the world of industrial control. Lifts, conveyors, air conditioners, water treatment and assembly lines are a few of the many applications dependent on this technology.

You'll learn about VSDs through a series of hands-on exercises with typical models from industry leaders such as Schneider, Allen-Bradley and Danfoss.
In addition to the practical componenet of the course you'll cover the working principle of a VSD, looking at typical faults and aspects to consider when purchasing this technology.

This is a self paced course which will include studying online and practical work in our Midland workshop. The workshop will be open on Wednesday evenings between 6:00pm - 8:30pm (by appointment only).
