North Metropolitan TAFE will be delivering the skills and knowledge required to be a confident and successful Human Resources (HR) leader through a series of five skill sets comprised of units from BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management.

Each completed skill set gives you credit towards this diploma, and completion of all five skill sets will make you eligible to receive BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management. This Recruitment and Diversity Skill Set is the first of the five to be offered.

You'll be equipped with the skills needed in the recruitment and onboarding process for your company including employing and leading a diverse workforce.
You'll also develop the knowledge to coordinate and implement a workforce plan
The attraction, recruitment, and retention of employees plays a key role in delivering positive outcomes for an organisation.

Employing the right people helps you make a difference in organisational culture.

  • Lead and manage people performance
  • Develop strategic HR practices
  • Foster a culture that encourages and supports diversity and inclusion

You'll need to be working in a Human Resources leadership, advisory or management role such as a frontline leader, team leader, supervisor, program coordinator, project leader or manager and have supervisory responsibility for a minimum of two team members. 

This skill set will be delivered in a two day workshop on campus.
Workshops will be run from 9:00am - 4:30pm.

You'll then need to complete assessments in your workplace.
You can take up to 8 weeks to complete the assessments or, if your other commitments allow, complete them in a much shorter time frame. Alternatively if you need more time to finish the required work, please discuss this with your lecturer.
