Plumbing Contractors License Skill Set

Want to become a licensed plumbing contractor?

On successful completion of this course you will be able to apply to the Plumbing Licensing Board for your Plumbing Contractor’s Licence.You will also be able to supervise works carried out by tradespersons and/or apprentices.

You will gain the knowledge and skills needed to:

  • Build your own business
  • Estimate job costs
  • Design and size custom consumer gas, water and drainage systems
  • Apply building codes and standards
  • Sustain building design principles
  • Apply correct WHS principles in your workplace
  • Sanitary and water backflow

The units included in this skill set are:

  • BSBSMB401 Establish legal and risk management requirements of small business
  • CPCPCM4012A Estimate and cost work
  • CPCPCM4011A Risk control 
    Drainage and sanitary
  • CPCPDR4011B Design and size sanitary drainage systems
  • CPCPDR4012B Design and size stormwater drainage systems
  • CPCPSN4011B Design and size sanitary plumbing systems 
    Backflow and water supply
  • CPCPWT4022A Commission and maintain backflow prevention devices
  • CPCPWT4023A Commission and maintain hot and heated water temperature control devices
  • CPCPWT4011B Design and size heated and cold water services and systems

Please note you must have a Current Plumbing Tradesperson Licence issued by the Plumbing Licensing Board, Department of Mines, Industry and Safety to enrol.

$1652.60 (approximately)

Six (6) weeks full-time comprising:

  • Two, two week blocks
  • One, 13 day block release (daily attendance)
  • Two, single days on campus
