Become the real deal with just six-weeks of full-time study to earn your Plumbing Contractor’s Licence
On successful completion of this skill set you will be able to apply to the Plumbing Licensing Board(opens in a new tab) (PLB), for your Plumbing Contractor’s Licence.
You will also gain the skills to be able to supervise works carried out by tradespersons and/or apprentices; build your own business; estimate job costs on water, sanitary and drainage systems, and much more.
You’ll need to successully complete all of the units listed below to apply for the full Plumbing Contractor’s Licence. If however you wish to specialise in only Drainage or Backflow and Water Supply, you will need to complete the core units and the units listed in your chosen specialisation.

Please note there is no stand alone sanitary licence issued by the PLB. It can only be part of a drainage or backflow and water supply licence.

You must have a current Plumbing Tradesperson Licence issued by the Plumbing Licensing Board(opens in a new tab) , Department of Mines, Industry and Safety to enrol.
This course is six weeks full-time comprising:
- two 2 week blocks
- one 13 day block
- 2 single days on campus
Classes run from 8.00am – 4.15pm.
