Meet the requirements for pest industry licensing

This Skill Set has been designed to meet the Department of Health requirements to gain a Pest Management Technician Licence to treat mainly weeds and other minor pests in lawns and gardens, landscaping, bushland or minesite rehabilitation.

  • Use small, portable hand held operated sprayers such as a knapsack or  back pack, to control weeds and and other minor pests
  • Prepare and apply chemicals
  • Transport and store chemicals

There are no formal entry requirements. However it is recommended that you have at least two years of industry experience.

This course runs for three days from 8:30am - 3:00pm.

  • 14 , 16 and 18 August  (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  • 11, 13 and 15 September (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  • 6, 9 and 10 October (Monday, Thursday and Friday)
  • 10, 13 and 14 November (Monday, Thursday and Friday)

Upon completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment which is required by the Department of Health along with a medical Certificate.
