Commercial Cookery

Approved by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS), North Metropolitan TAFE’s commercial cookery qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to become a qualified chef. The program is updated with guidance from a group of industry leaders, ensuring you learn the latest, most relevant practices. 

You will develop the practical skills and knowledge to plan, organise, prepare and cook food in a commercial kitchen environment. Upon completion of our course, you will be able to work in various kitchen settings, such as restaurants, hotels, pubs, cafes and cruise ships.
