Provide high level care and support in an aged care setting

Residents within the aged care sector have increasingly complex health care needs and higher acuity levels.  This increases the level of support and care needs of residents.  You'll gain additional skills to assess and identify the care needs of residents.  Understanding the importance of risk factors and potential impact on a resident is a key component to this skill set, along with methods to minimize and monitor interventions.  You'll also learn strategies to support residents' palliative care needs and medications competency.
