Get your head around the Type B appliance gas licensing system

The Type B appliance gas licensing system and the gasfitting work that can be carried out under each type of licence can be confusing.

North Metropolitan TAFE’s Gas Awareness for Managers is designed to give managers an understanding of the Licensing system, the Regulations and the responsibilities of the licensed gasfitter and the consumer (owner of the Type B appliance).

We deliver this course at our Midland Campus, or onsite, subject to group size.

Content

  • The control of all gasfitting work; the Regulations and Act enforced by
  • EnergySafety WA.
  • Licensing; types of gasfitting licenses available. Authorisations are
  • covered in depth.
  • Types of gas Appliances.
  • Responsibilities of the licensed gasfitter, the manager and the
  • consumer.
  • Gasfitting work that can be carried out under each license.
  • Gas Safety.
  • Combustion.

Duration  Half day, 8.00am to 12.00noon
