Take the next step to build your skills in advanced web development
In this skill set, you will build on your existing web development foundations and learn how to create real‑world, production‑style web applications.
You’ll move beyond static websites and learn how modern systems are structured—understanding how user interfaces connect to data, services and application logic to form a complete solution.
This course is designed as a next step after Certificate IV in Information Technology (Web Development or Programming), or equivalent industry experience.
By the end of the course, you’ll understand how to build and connect an entire web system, not just the front end.

By completing this skill set, you’ll develop skills in:
- Designing user‑focused digital experiences (UX)
- Building advanced, interactive front‑end web interfaces
- Developing and connecting APIs within real applications
- Understanding how modern web systems are structured and scaled
- Working with concepts such as microservices and containerisation in a practical context
This course is ideal if you:
- Have completed a Certificate IV in IT (Web Development or Programming), or have equivalent experience
