Skills for training and workplace coaching

Training within the workplace takes many forms, including individual and group instruction, planning a presentation and reviewing the presentation.
This Skill Set will help you deliver training sessions in workplace or formal learning contexts and will give you the knowledge and skills needed to

  • train others within the workplace, 
  • teach, train and assess (under supervision) within the Vocational Education Training (VET) sector

You may currently be 

  • working in a role in HR where you are required to conduct employee induction
  • a supervisor who provides training for staff on policies and procedures
  • a staff member who has skills or experience that may be relevant to and benefit other staff
  • wanting to provide training under supervision in a VET environment

To enter this program you will need to demonstrate vocational competency.
Vocational competency can be defined as broad industry knowledge and experience and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

Successful completion of this Skill Set will give you credit towards TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as you will cover the following units BSBMM401 Make a presentation and TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction
