With this Diploma of Screen and Media (Creative Make-up) you'll gain the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge to be a star within the make-up industry.
If you are serious about pursuing a career as a creative make-up specialist then this practical course is for you.

You'll learn how to

  • apply specialist make-up effects like burns and wounds
  • create prosthetics including foam latex application
  • style hair, wigs and hairpieces for productions
  • create body art

for performances, events, exhibitions, photographic shoots, stage, music videos, film and TV.

You'll work closely with NMT's film and television students gaining practical industry experience as well as having the opportunity to work on large scale productions.
Marketing and running your own small business is also covered in this course, enabling you to provide freelance services across many industries.

On completion of the course you will be qualified to work as a creative make-up specialist in a variety of fields such as television, theatre and film, runway shows, fashion magazines.

Course fees are made up of two components, tuition fees and resource fees.

Tuition fees are determined by multiplying the course fee rate by the nominal hours, which is the number of hours in which an average student could be expected to complete each unit. They are not the hours of training or instruction.

Resource fees are charges for material that are essential to a course or unit, and are purchased by NMT to be used by students during the course.

Fees may vary depending on the units you are enrolled in so an approximate amount has been shown. You will be given the exact amount of your fees at enrolment. Part time student fees will vary depending on the number of units you are enrolled in.

Please note, you may also need to buy textbooks or equipment for your course.
