Children's Art 7-15 yrs old (2:30pm-4:30pm)

State ID: SC-PAG-C2638

North Metropolitan TAFE's popular art classes for children are held at our art building at 12 Aberdeen St in Perth.

This six week course run on Saturdays is specially designed for children between the ages of 7 and 10 years who want to extend their skills in art through a range of traditional and experimental approaches.  The classes are taught by qualified and experienced art lecturers and the class size is limited to 12 to maximise the tuition.

This course provides a range of activities ranging across painting, drawing, collage, print, sculpture, ceramics as well as experiments in perspective and composition and reference is made to artists and art movements.  The course includes visits where appropriate, to North Metropolitan TAFE's Art Gallery to talk about contemporary art and incorporate it into the children's creative work.

The purpose built art studios are centrally located and accessible via the CAT bus link and within easy walking distance from the Perth train station.
