All businesses have a need for project managers

Learn the practical skills, processes and technical aspects of project management. This qualification will allow you to manage projects in a wide variety of contexts.

With a qualification in project management from North Metropolitan TAFE, you will oversee the staffing, costs and outcomes of amazing operations and events.

This course is available through on campus or online study so you can study in a way that suits you.

  • Provide solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems
  • Analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources
  • Apply project scope management techniques such as time management, cost management, quality management, human resources, communications, risk management and contract and procurement procedures.
  • Monitor a safe workplace
  • Establish effective workplace relationships

Half-price

This qualification is directly aligned with priority industry areas where jobs are today, and into the future. As part of the state government Lower fees, local skills program, through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the tuition fees (plus resource fee) capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession.

Online

Some of our Online courses can be done completely online. However, some of the courses require a practical component or assessment that can't be done online, and some may be a mix of online and on campus learning. If this course is deemed competitive, you will be informed during your application via TAFE Admissions and additional entrance requirements will apply.

C Grades in Year 11 WACE General English, and OLNA; or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 C Grades in Year 11 English and Maths or equivalent Certificate II or Certificate III

On campus

The typical timetable will be two days per week for 20 weeks.

Online

This course requires your attendance for online scheduled classes for 1 days per week. 

Each unit requires an average of three to six hours per week. If you complete your units within the first 10 weeks you may be able to enrol in additional units in the next term intake, allowing you to complete your course in a shorter period of time.

At-home study

Study outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research will be required to successfully complete your course.
