When you complete the Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter and Machinist ZB) you'll be looking at a trades career as a machinist metal, mechanical fitter, metal plater or plant mechanic in industries such as mining, automotive, or hydraulics.

You will gain the skills and knowledge to make machines, parts, and tools, work with pumps and hydraulics, using workshop machines, hand and power tools, mills and lathes, arc welding, measuring, technical drawing, and workplace health and safety.

The Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter and Machinist ZB) is an apprenticeship: you must be employed in a training contract by an appropriate organisation to study. Please see the Apprenticeships section for more information.
