Gain access to the exciting technology of 3D printing.

Browse any media and you will find something on how 3D printing is transforming a vast array of industries.

3D printing is where a whole part or product is laid down, layer by layer from a computer drawing. We have developed short courses to provide access to this exciting technology.

The 3D printers that are used:

  • Makerbot Replicator 2 - Melts plastic to produce items
  • Objet 24 - Able to print layers thinner than a human hair to make models with moving parts and smooth, paintable surfaces.
  • Formlabs Form 1+ - Uses a laser which intersects with a bath of resin to solidfy liquid and create the end product.

About the facilitator Mark Robinson has 17 years experience as a product design engineer using rapid manufacturing and 3D printing technologies.
