In this course, you will learn how to provide direct care to clients who are unable to care for themselves due to ill health or disability in a community setting. You'll gain an insight into the aged care and home and community care sector.

All of our Home and Community Care qualifications can be completed in the workplace. This means you get the most relevant skills and the opportunity to form industry contacts.

This qualification includes a 120 hour supervised work placement in a home and/or community facility. A Police Clearance (approx. $72) and Working with Children Check are required prior to work placement and employment in all community and disability agencies and you will need to buy a polo shirt (approx. $29).  It is strongly recommended that you see your doctor about having flu vaccination

Your Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) prepares you for roles such as:

Course fees are made up of two components, tuition fees and resource fees.

Tuition fees are determined by multiplying the course fee rate by the nominal hours, which is the number of hours in which an average student could be expected to complete each unit. They are not the hours of training or instruction.

Resource fees are charges for material that are essential to a course or unit, and are purchased by NMT to be used by students during the course.

Fees may vary depending on the units you are enrolled in so an approximate amount has been shown. You will be given the exact amount of your fees at enrolment. Part time student fees will vary depending on the number of units you are enrolled in.

Please note, you may also need to buy textbooks or equipment for your course.
